Which reciters of the Quran are available?

Can I listen to the Quran while travelling or working?
Many believers listen to the Quran in the car, on public transport or during their daily activities, which is permitted and beneficial. The Quran does, however, urge attentive and silent listening when it is recited (Surah Al-A'raf, verse 204). So where possible it is better to give it focused listening rather than treat it as background sound.
Which is the shortest surah to listen to?
The shortest surah is Al-Kawthar (no. 108), which has only 3 verses and is recited in a few seconds. Other very short surahs such as Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and An-Nas are ideal for beginners. At the other end, Al-Baqarah, with its 286 verses, runs more than two hours depending on the reciter. Every length is available in the audio player.
