How can I read the whole Quran during Ramadan?
The simplest way is to read one juz a day: since the Quran is divided into 30 juz, you finish all 114 surahs in 30 days, the length of the month of Ramadan. This plan shows, for each day, the juz to read and the surahs it covers. You can read each portion in our Quran reader online, then tick the day off.
What is a juz of the Quran?
A juz (plural: ajza) is one of the 30 roughly equal parts into which the Quran was divided to make a complete reading in a month easier. In a standard Mushaf, a juz is about 20 pages. Each juz divides into two hizb. The thirtieth juz, called Juz Amma, gathers the short surahs at the end of the Quran.
How many pages of the Quran should I read a day during Ramadan?
To finish the Quran in a month, you need to read about 20 pages a day in a standard Mushaf, which is one juz. A common approach is to read 4 pages after each of the five daily prayers. Anyone wishing to go faster can read two juz a day and complete two readings during the month, while keeping the reading unhurried and reflective.
What is Khatm Al-Quran?
Khatm Al-Quran is the completion of a full reading of the Quran, from Surah Al-Fatiha to Surah An-Nas. It is a moment of joy and gratitude, often marked with supplications. Many Muslims aim for at least one khatm during Ramadan, the month in which the Quran was revealed. The plan shows a message of congratulation once all 30 juz are ticked.
How do I follow my progress and start again?
Tick each day as soon as its juz is read: a counter shows how many days out of 30 are done. Your progress is kept on your device so you can pick up easily the next day. A reset button clears all the juz, for instance for a new Ramadan; a confirmation is asked for, because the action cannot be undone. See also our Ramadan duas on the page.
